IMPACT PROJECT
This project is designed to take you through self-assessments, surveys, and research that help you better understand who you are as an individual, aid you in setting short and long term goals as you prepare to graduate from high school, and have you figure out how you can make a positive impact on those around you and in your community. This is a semester long project that will be integrated into four major units of instruction.
Units Covered This Semester
Unit 1--The Importance of Establishing Your Identity
Unit 2--Your Pilgrimage: Beginning the Journey of a Lifetime
Unit 3--Ambitious Endeavors
Unit 4--Living to Make an Impact
This project is designed to support you in your goals and dreams! You will help develop our class's framework for the project, create rubrics to aid in assessing your work and the work of your peers, and develop a culminating presentation that will be due at the end of the semester.

Directions: Fill out your KWL Chart I have directed you to create. After you've created it, answer the following questions in the "Know" column, or in the "Want to Know" column. At the end of the semester we will fill out the "What You've Learned" column. Keep this in the front of your binder!

~College--2year or 4 year, Major or Certificate, What area?
~Scholarships available?
~Stay in Ashe County or Leave?
~Live with guardian/s or get your own place?
~Work part-time while in school?
~Transportation?
~Any permits you need to do your future job?
~Insurance?
~Special situations that warrant you contacting support in the community?
