~What do you think this statement means and if it is true? ~Does much of what we understand about world governments, economics, and people depend heavily upon what we read in newspapers, magazines, and books and hear on radio and TV? ~If these information sources are controlled by one group or power, will we begin to believe the “reality” they present to us?

Go through your journal entries and the worksheets. Describe how the literary devices used in Night affect the overall impact of the work.

~Describe how the use of imagery helps the reader gain a better understanding of the events in the story.
~Describe how the use of irony and symbols help the reader understand the view point of Elie Wiesel.
